Upgrading Aircraft

Some aircraft models can be upgraded. The upgrades can be for example engine hushkit, resulting in lower noise levels, or winglet upgrades adding range and/or reducing fuel consumption.

Upgrades may be performed on any aircraft, owned or leased.

Upgrading An Aircraft

Each aircraft that can be upgraded has an Upgrade aircraft link at the aircraft details page, under the Manage Aircraft section (accessible by clicking the aircraft ID from the listing of the My Aircraft page).

Alternatively, you can select multiple aircraft from the checkboxes at the My Aircraft page listing and use the Upgrade aircraft selection from the dropdown menu at the bottom of that listing page (the planes must be of the same model!).

Each aircraft upgrade has a specific set of parameters and they can affect fuel consumption, runway requirement, range or noise level of the aircraft. The details, price of the upgrade and the installation time are displayed in the upgrade menu.

Once you have confirmed the installation of the upgrade, the aircraft is sent to maintenance and will automatically return to service once the upgrades have been completed. Upgrades may not be removed once installed.

Upgrade Announcements

The availability of any new upgrades are announced at the Dashboard news section (please note that only a handful of aircraft models have these upgrades).
